Agility according to the dictionary is the ability to change the body’s position efficiently, and requires the integration of isolated movement skills using a combination of balance, coordination, speed, reflexes, strength, and endurance.  This camp will focus on quick feet, fine motor skills, balance when fatigued, and hand eye coordination.  Agility is necessary in all sports and developing fine motor skills at a young age can help a child with proper proprioception, leading to less injury while growing and playing.  Agility exercises are also fun and will give the child and enjoyment for moving even if they do not have a desire for a particular sport.  An enjoyment in exercise and movement will lead to incorporating fitness into their life for the long term and decrease obesity and illness. Exercises and activity in this camp will include the agility ladder, fast footwork drills, ball tosses and catching, speed work, an endurance day, and several balance activities increasing in difficulty throughout the week. This camp is good for kids of all ages, ability levels, and sports interests.  Each day of camp will also include an uncommon discussion topic of the day where the coach will discuss a different topic other than fitness that helps our children be better athletes.  These topics include proper hydration and nutrition, teamwork skills, motivation, and goal setting.  Price of the camp includes a certificate and a camp t-shirt.
